I had found twelve photographs printed in one of our local archives, namely a copy of 'Pelican Pie' which had these images of men who had been decorated for bravery. I posted each one in a thread on the Great War Forum and someone contacted me a couple of years later, to thank me for posting it as he had always hoped there was an image of his relative somewhere but had no idea he would actually come across it like that. It was well worth the effort of posting them in the first place.
